Facebook Live - Patriotic Lace

I love going live and interacting with my peeps, but sometimes people think it's too long to transfer the YouTube to live. This past Sunday, I kept it short. And if you have watched my lives in the past I use to be on for 3 hours. And we loved it!

As the 4th of July was coming up, I wanted a patriotic theme but with out it being just for the 4th. I used the colors of the USA flag, and a lace die to come up with this card. You could use it for birthdays, home coming, or just because.

Measurements for Card, Supplies listed at end of post:

Night of Navy Cardstock - 11 x 4 1/4, scored @ 5 1/2
Real Red Cardstock - 3 3/4 x 3, 2 1/8 x 5/8
Vellum - 4 x 5 1/4
Whisper White - 2 3/4 x 3 1/4, 1/2 x 2

A2 Twisted Easel Card - Daisy Lane

Hello there! I came up with a new twist on the twisted easel card. I was looking for one on the internet that was not a finished square card. I wanted an A2 size, to fit in a standard envelope. It took me an hour but I finally came up with one. The most time was spent on the diagonal line, good grief that gave me trouble. But in the end it worked out.

I previewed this on my weekly Facebook Live on Sunday. Bless them, they stuck with me as I messed up twice and had to redo the diagonal part.

I choose a single color, with the exception of the sentiment, for each card. And I went with three of the new in-colors. Let me just say I love the Purple Posy!!! For my video, I used Pretty Peacock and it's such a striking color.

YouTube Live - Cows and Dads

Ok that is a funny post title!

I went on YouTube live to create two cards, but it started out kinda rough. I had scheduled the live, then when I tried to go on from my phone I couldn't. And all my friends were waiting on me. Needless to say I am YouTube Schedule Live challenged. And will be getting some info so that does not happen again!

In the end they found me, and we had a good laugh.

The first card I created was for Father's Day, using the new A Good Man stamp set. I went for a minimal look and didn't color image.

I did that, because my second card took a little longer. I have not paper pieced in a long time. But as I was trying to come up with an idea, it just came to me.

For the technique, I did paper piecing. Something old but wanted to show.

The flower, boots, mane on tail, and head are all paper pieced to give the image some dimension.

Cow’s it going? Card Measurements
Whisper White – 5 ½ x 8 ½ scored at 4 ¼, 5 x 3 3/4 (I did use a larger piece to stamp on then trimmed 6 x 4), 1 5/8 x 5/8, 3 x 3, 2 ¾ x 4
Daffodil Delight – 4 x 5 ¼, 2 x 4 for flowers

Father’s Day Card Measurements –
Night of Navy – 4 ¼ x 11 scored at 5 ½
Whisper White – 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 (2), 2 ½ x 3, ½ x 2 ¼, 1 ¼ x 1 ¼
Balmy Blue – 5/8 x 2 3/8, 1 3/8 x 1 3/8
Crumb Cake – 3 x 3 ½
DSP – Come Sail Away – 4 x 5 ¼
