What is Stampin' Up!?

Quality & Coordination.....

Stampin' Up! designs and manufactures an exclusive line of decorative rubber  and photopolymer stamp sets and paper-crafting products for greeting cards, gift making, craft projects, scrapbooking and home décor.  These products are showcased by enthusiastic demonstrators at in-home parties and stamping events like workshops or classes.

Stampin' Up! is a 29-year old direct-sales company based in Utah, Western United States, founded in 1988.  Stampin' Up! products are not sold in stores, but can be purchased through a network of independent contractors called Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.  Currently, more than 40,000 Demonstrators throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand teach the art of stamping and share their enthusiasm for stamping, scrapbooking, and card making.  Stampin' Up! has been in New Zealand since 2007.

Every year, Stampin' Up! publishes its Annual Catalog, the pages of which introduce new stamp sets and accessories. These accessories - including papers, stamp pads, and markers - are offered in 40 core colors, grouped into color collections, which takes the guess work out of making beautiful cards and scrapbook pages and offers convenience and coordination to customers and demonstrators.  You'll also find coordinating embellishments, such as ribbons, brads and other hardware accessories to make paper crafting simpler, quicker, and more exciting.

But products aren't the only thing you'll find in the over 180 pages that make up this fabulous resource. You'll also find fantastic samples that you can use to create your own projects or inspire new ideas. The Annual Catalogue is available from any Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and is also online.

Ink Pads -

The Firm Foam pads are really juicy and you will not want to do any twisting or mashing! In fact, the best method is to very lightly tap, tap the stamp on the pad and stamp the project. You need not apply pressure when inking the stamp and, in fact, doing so may result in excessive ink on the stamp and/or your block.

A few other things I like about the new pads:

No "dip" in the center of the pad - the pad will stay nice and flat and won't dip or become "wavy".
Color coded labels included with each ink pad - in four languages - for easy identification.
A new glossy label on the top of the pad that won't fade or chip off.
The ink has an increased opacity for nice solid images and dries quickly.

Open ink pads with color coded labels for easy color identification

HOT TIP: Use the extra labels! I cut the ends off of one extra label and placed them on the inside of the pad. In doing so, with two or more open ink pads sitting side by side, I can easily tell which color is which. Have you almost (or actually) put a stamp in the wrong color pad? Yikes!

Cardstock and DSP (Designer Series Paper)

When you pick up a piece of Stampin' Up! card stock, you'll notice the exclusive colors, impressive weight of paper (80 lb.) and that it's dyed all the way through so you won't get a white core when tearing. You'll also love that our textured card stock has an exclusive pattern, comes in the same great colors, and is acid and lignin free (just like our regular card stock) so it's great for scrapbooking. Whisper White Thick cardstock is 110 lb. weight

What are the Stampin' Up! colour collections?

Stampin' Up! has a large variety of products that are based on four core color collections.  This foundation has taken the guesswork out of color coordinating your projects.  Each color is organized into a collection, and each color within a collection is designed to complement the other colors.  Once you've selected your color scheme, you have a full range of coordinating products from which to choose, as well as an array of accessories and embellishments designed to enhance your stamped projects.  Products such as cardstock, ink pads, markers, ribbon, brads, buttons and more, are offered in these exclusive Stampin' Up! colors.
