Stamparatus Intro & DIY Enhancements

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! (think of Shirley Temple saying that) I am so excited to introduce the new brand new stamping tool from Stampin' Up!

THE STAMPARATUS!!!!

Back in November, demonstrators and customers were able to reserve a Stamparatus (they also had a second reservation in December due to popularity).  And I received mine last Friday, which I promptly demonstrated on my Friday Facebook Live and Periscope. Than my son moved out over the weekend, and I was not able to upload a YouTube video, until today.

Now for those that did not get in on the reservation, don't worry!!! The Stamparatus will be available in the new annual catalog, debuting in June of 2018.

Christmas Challenge Stampathon 2018 - Barn Door with Non-Traditional Colors

Hello!!!

I have some exciting news, and yes it's about Christmas.  Do you find yourself scrambling to get your Christmas cards out in December?  Make creative tags for your packages?  Gift and Treat bags? Home Decor?

I know I do, I was making gift tags two day before Christmas.  A group of talented demonstrators and myself have decided to collaborate to help, each of us, not to feel rushed in December.

It's called the Christmas Challenge Stampathon 2018!!!  There is even some prizes involved, yay!!!

Who can participate? What is it? How do I join?

Everyone is welcome to join in the Challenge, including demonstrators.  You are encouraged to share with your customers.

This is a collaboration between Stampin' Up! Demonstrators in the US, UK and Australia.

Everyone is welcome to join in the Challenge.

The Challenge will be set on the 25th of the month on each of the organizers Facebook pages and will then have followup information on their blogs and YouTube channels.

The Challenge will be set on the 25th of the month, and the deadline for submission is 11pm on the 24th of the following month in your respective time zone.

And don't worry if you don't have any Christmas stamp set's yet, you can use just about any stamp set.

The challenges will consist of cards, tags, bags, and even home decor.

Rules to Win Prizes:

1. Each Month you participate you will get a ticket, 1st month earn 1 ticket, 2nd month, earn 2 tickets, and so on.

2. Post your your projects on the Facebook Group, in the thread we have marked for that month. Please add your region (Austrailia, UK, or USA)

3. You must use at least one Stampin' Up! Product to be entered into the prize, preferably a stamp set.


To be eligible to win a prize you need to live in the USA, UK or Australia.

By submitting a photo you give the organizers permission to use the photo on their blog and social media.

There are prizes available for each country.  The first prize is US $60, UK £50, AUS $88 of product that the organizers will choose and ship free of charge.  The second prize is a sample of each of the items the organizer/s from your respective country makes.

Please join to share your photo's in the designated post for that month's challenge.

Facebook Friday # 5 Scrapbook Layout

For this weeks Facebook Friday, I asked the group what they would like for me to create. They had three choices: Card Fun Fold, Technique or Scrapbook Layout. 

The votes were pretty much for all three of them. So I decided to create a layout with a technique.  And added a type of card front (journaling section), just not a fun fold.  We may do that next week.

I love the colors on this layout, Bermuda Bay is one of my top 5 in Stampin' Up! colors.  Now while I am not sure which picture I am going to put on this page yet, I know anyone of them would have amazing people.

I am glad they wanted a Scrapbook Layout, I have missed creating these.  I still think we need to preserve our memories using our own handwriting.  I have lots of pictures I wish I knew the story behind them.  That is why I have challenged myself to create at least one page a month.  I may do more, we will see.

I had to use punches, die cuts and stamps to create this page of lovely flowers.  And Stampin' Up! punches are so versatile. No regular stamping on this layout, but I did use a stamp. 

 

I am going to post my video to YouTube, but let me say it is long. I mean it is from Facebook Friday after all, that's my excuse LOL! You might want to grab something to drink and maybe eat, hahaha.  I would love to have you join us next week.

My Guy Valentine

On my past Facebook Friday, over at Ladybug's community group, we created a valentine for a guy.  Specifically my guy!

Petal Passion Meets Brusho

One of my favorite product suites from the 2018 Occasions Catalog is Petal Passion.  I especially love the Designer Series Paper, featured in yesterday's blog post, as am I a black and white fan.  I think black is such a classy color, hence "the little black dress".

But for this card, I wanted to concentrate on the Stamp Set and Thinlet bundle.  And add some of our new product, Brusho!!  

I have never worked with Brush, and it's been exciting to learn how use this magical dust.  I used the Brusho as backdrop for my flowers, and then added a little Old Olive with the Stampin' Blend Marker.

I used the little bits from the diecut and scattered them around the card.  Hey, I'm a scrapper at heart and try not to waste, lol.  My friends say I keep way to many "scraps".

I added some softness and texture to the card, by adding vellum against the darkness of the card-base and behind the "trellis" die cut.  Stampin' Up! has some great vellum, it's thick than other vellum's yet looks the same.
