Nothing Lasts Forever & Giveaway

By now you may have heard some of the news:
The Stampin’ Trimmer and Big Shot will be discontinued.

Why did they do this and what will replace them?

Everyone has had numerous issues with the trimmer blades not cutting, not cutting well, not lasting long ( especially if you’re a demo and cutting a ton for classes). So, they have tried to fix the issue, and come up with solutions but to no avail, therefore they are working on a replacement.

There will be no trimmer in the 2019-20 Annual Catalog, once they have come up with a great solution, it will be announced.

You may want to purchase the below supplies for the Stampin’ Trimmer:

Cutting Blades ( limit 3, next week it will be limit 6 until supplies run out)
Scoring Blades

There are a few videos out there on how to care for your trimmer and blades to make them last longer.

Another thing that will be retiring is the Big Shot. From what we have been told, Stampin' Up! will be ending their partnership with Sizzix, including all accessories, folders, and dies.

However, they will offer new dies and embossing folders in the 2019–2020 annual catalog. Since they are using a new supplier, the dies and folders will be manufactured differently; this means the way you use the new style of dies and folders will be a little different than how you used the old style. Both the new-style and old-style dies and embossing folders can work with any die-cutting & embossing machine (in some cases, adaptations like shims may be required because the gap between rollers on machines may vary slightly between manufacturers).

You may want to purchase the below supplies for the Big Shot:

Cutting plates
Magnetic plate
Embossing Folders

I promise to keep you as updated as I learn more details.

As with every annual catalog, we may retire (lose) items, but there are always new items that we get excited for.

The leaders have been having fun thinking of old products that have retired that they miss:

-Stampin’ Wheels- I never could get them straight
-MDS (My Digital Studio)
-The guillotine trimmer
-The Spritzer (great idea, but dried out our markers incredibly fast!!)
-The Bigz dies
-Colours like Chocolate Chip
-Project Life (when we actually had the brand Project Life)
-The mini stapler
-The Blendabilities (these were our original alcohol markers which Stampin’ Up! had to recall as they ended up not meeting our high quality standards)
-Stampin’ Pastels
-Our original watercolor pencils

Is there a product you were happy went anyway or one you really miss?

One other thing of note. Most companies when they no longer carry an item, do not warn you ahead of time, it just is there one day and gone the next. I am really thankful Stampin’ Up! has at least given us a heads up to prepare.

Ok now for the giveaway...I have an extra "brand new" Big Shot and have been holding onto it until a good time, well this is it.

How to Enter: Go to my Facebook Page to Enter!!!

If you have any questions please let me know, and again as I learn and able to share I will.

Denise

STORAGE BY STAMPIN’ UP! Q&A

No. The Ink Pad & Marker Storage Trays are designed to fit our new-design Stampin’ Pads only.
We stacked up to 50 storage trays without any issues, BUT we would not recommend stacking that high. While our Storage by Stampin’ Up! products are sturdy, the higher you stack them, the less stable they’ll become. Use your discretion when stacking.
No. Currently, we have not deemed any other companies’ storage products as competitive. Stampin’ Up! recognizes the subjective nature of competitive products and will regularly evaluate products in question, as well as Stampin’ Up!’s core product offerings. We strive to keep the best interests of Stampin’ Up! and our demonstrators in mind.
No. Our modular storage products are designed to sit on a table (or similar flat surface).
The Open Storage Cube can be used to hold any miscellaneous items like ribbon, embellishments, and small punches. For more inspiration on ways to use items from our Storage by Stampin’ Up! product line, check out the configuration chart we created.
Yes! Our Storage by Stampin’ Up! products are modular and designed with customization in mind. Take a look at the flyer for more information on the size and dimensions of each item in our new modular storage product line.
No. The Storage Lid covers the top of Ink Pad & Marker Storage Trays, Stampin’ Blends Storage Trays, and Open Storage Cubes, so you need only one per storage configuration.
Both. We designed these modular storage products to be free-standing and stackable, so you can customize your crafting space to work best for you.
Like all of our product offerings, we hope Storage by Stampin’ Up! will be successful and expand. However, at this point in time, we can’t guarantee any additional modular storage products in the future.
We are not currently offering any bundles for items from our Storage by Stampin’ Up! product line. If you’re looking for some examples on how to mix and match our storage pieces together, please take a look at the configuration chart we put together and provided on the demonstrator website.
You can store up to 20 Stampin’ Ink Refills (or other small items) in the Storage Topper.
No. When you insert an ink pad into a storage tray, a small portion of the ink pad will stick out. We designed it this way, so your ink pads will be both secure and easy to access.
No. Both of these items include a set of five white plastic trays. Please use the configuration chart to determine how many storage units you need.
Our modular storage products are made with white, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic, which is a lightweight and durable material.
·         How do the silicone feet work?
To protect your surface and prevent slipping, we’ve included peel-and-stick silicone feet with the Ink Pad & Marker Storage Trays, Stampin’ Blends Storage Trays, and Open Storage Cube.

I will post all the links on April 1st, if you have any questions please let me know.
