Lots of Love...it's time to say Goodbye, Matchbox

I have loved creating with this set, and the coordinating Designer Series Paper stack (DSP).  I am a fan of Black & White, as most of you know.  But when you add some flowers, in color...BAM!!

I wanted to make a box, and came across some a template for this matchbox.  But it's a larger size matchbox, kinda like my mammaw (i'm in the south) had on her wood burning stove.

You could use this cute box for lots of small gifts, from jewelry to scraves.

I have made this box several times already, one with an acetate wrap.

Measurements for the box, (supplies used follow at the end of post):

Basic Black Cardstock - 41/2 x 9 1/2 & 5 1/2 x 7 1/8
DSP - 2 7/8 x 4 3/8 (2), 1 3/8 x 4 3/8 (2)

That's it, oh wait the score lines LOL...you might need those

On 9 1/2 piece - score at 1/2, 3 1/2, 5, 8
On 7 1/8 piece - score at 1 3/8, 5 3/4 (long side), 1 3/8, 4 1/4 (short side)

And I even created a video for you on how to make this cute little matchbox!

I hope you enjoy! And if you love this set, get it before it's gone!!

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Hugs from the Bug,
Denise

Pop of Color - Christmas Challenge Stampathon April 2018

This past Wednesday was April 25th, which means it's time for another Christmas Challenge Stampathon project.  Yes I am a few days late, we were moving and I was under the weather.  Double whammy, but I am finally creating again.

This month's challenge is to create four, if not more, Christmas cards with a twist.  Black, White and a pop of color.  I loved this challenge, B&W is my favorite color combo.

What is Christmas Callenge Stampathon?

Do you find yourself scrambling to get your Christmas cards out in December?  Make creative tags for your packages?  Gift and Treat bags? Home Decor?

Well, a group of talented demonstrators and myself have decided to collaborate to help, all of us, not to feel rushed in December.

It's called the Christmas Challenge Stampathon 2018!!!  There is even some prizes involved, yay!!!

Who can participate? What is it? How do I join?

Everyone is welcome to join in the Challenge, including demonstrators.  You are encouraged to share with your customers.

This is a collaboration between Stampin' Up! Demonstrators in the US, UK and Australia.

Everyone is welcome to join in the Challenge.

The Challenge will be set on the 25th of the month on each of the organizers Facebook pages and will then have followup information on their blogs and YouTube channels.

The deadline for submission is 11pm on the 24th of the following month in your respective time zone.

And don't worry if you don't have any Christmas stamp set's yet, you can use just about any stamp set.

This is my April submission, using Emerald Envy as the pop of color choice.  This In-Color, that's retiring at the end of May (or supplies last), is a great color for Christmas projects.

Card Measurements (supplies used at end of blog post):

Whisper White Cardstock 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
Basic Black Cardstock 3 3/4 x 5
Emerald Envy Cardstock 5 1/8 x 3 7/8
Scrap Whisper White for Sentiment

I have created a video on how to create the card, including the embossing color.

Rules to Win Prizes:

1. Each Month you participate you will get a ticket, 1st month earn 1 ticket, 2nd month, earn 2 tickets, and so on.

2. Post your your projects on the Facebook Group, in the thread we have marked for that month. Please add your region (Austrailia, UK, or USA)

3. You must use at least one Stampin' Up! Product to be entered into the prize, preferably a stamp set.

2018 Stampin Up Color Revamp

THE COLORS ARE EVOLVING!

From Stampin' Up! -

The spice of life is variety, and that’s especially true in the world of color. Stampin’ Up! makes a point to keep an eye on color trends across different markets and industries. When we see changes happening, we review our color spectrum to ensure that we remain consistently on top of the trends. This brings us to the 2018 Color Revamp!

In order to keep bringing you the most current and on trend colors, we decided it was time to give our color collections a makeover.

With this revamp, you’ll not only have new products to view, but also have a new variety of shades that will inspire creativity and allow you to explore more sides of your crafting. Read on for more information!

THE DETAILS

There are still four color collections, each with ten colors. There is also a new color group called Basics.

In order to keep our color collections to exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors, we moved Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White out of the Neutrals collection. We’ve also moved a few colors into the Neutrals collection, making it more exciting and colorful!

Some additional colors have changed collections as well—you’ll notice this as you look through the new collections below. You can refer to the old and new color charts in the 2018-2019 catalog. These changes were based on needing to maintain color balance in our updated collections. For example, Poppy Parade is now the brightest red so it is part of the Brights collection.

If you have favorites on the retirement list, you may want to order these as early as you can!!!
If you have any questions please let me know.

Hugs from the bug,
Denise
