Ladybug Stampin: Life is sweeter...with scrapbooking!

I love to scrapbook, and the pictures I have taken on my phone need to go somewhere besides Facebook. I have found myself, again, taking mindless photos instead of fewer important ones.

I am hoping getting back to scrapbooking, at least once a week, will help me to focus on the quality and not the quantity. And what better day to showcase the love of family and friends, than Sunday, when we show our love to the Lord.

When I first laid my eyes on the laser cut paper at OnStage, I knew it would be great for cards. But then I started to think outside of just card making. This is my first page I have created in some time, the last one was a “coffee theme”. I created that for my grandson who loves Starbucks.

This is a simple, but I think effective layout for a Black & White photo. I plan on adding a photo of me and my best friend.

Simple Instructions for this layout:

Place the full laser cut sheet over the 12 x 12 cardstock

Lay the vellum over the top

Add the Pool Party over the vellum

Stamp the sentiment on the very vanilla

Adhere this to the smaller flirty flamingo cardstock

I added faceted dots to each end side of the sentiment

I cut about 14 inches of ribbon, twice, and added to the page

Place sentiment on top of ribbon with dimensionals

Flirty Flamingo – 12 x 12, 3 ½ x 1 1/4
Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut SP – 12 x 12
Pool Party – 4 ½ x 6 ½
Vellum Cardstock – 6 ½ x 8 ½
Very Vanilla - 3 3/8 x 1 1/8
