Periscoping Terrific Tuesday aka Make a Card Monday

Normally I would be on Periscope for Make a Card Monday, well on a Monday.  But since my Paper Pumpkin was late and arrived on Monday, I had to move this to Tuesday....because Pumpkin doesn't like to be ignored. But onto my card from Terrific Tuesday.

I let my scoping ladies choose what stamp set for me to use.  Oh wait, let's back up!  What is "scoping"?  There is an app called Periscope that allows you to live stream, while you are able to see comments and hearts, love the hearts!  It is sort of like Facebook Live, however slightly better. I have a bigger following on Periscope so I tend to live stream there frequently.  And every Make a Card Monday is random, I have no idea how the card will turn out.  I do go into it sometimes knowing about what I want, then the ladies help me.  Unless I make a executive decision and go on my own, which makes us all laugh.  I am trying to show the process of card making, which allows non-card makers or some that feel "I'm not good enough", and see that we all struggle with design.

So this week we went with Bella and Friends, which happens to be my upline's million dollar stamp creation.  Yay for Angie!!!!  As you can see I choose the adorable Bella and Skittles flying in the air stamp.  And a mixture of colors for this card, plus I messed up on a cloud so I decided to take it from a stormy looking cloud to a glittery one using Wink of Stella.

I used the tree builder punch to create a mask for my clouds and lightly went around the edges. I masked the balloon so it looked like the cloud was behind it.  I used my Aqua Painter to watercolor the images.  And a tip from one of the ladies since I did not have the Basic Grey Archival Ink Stamp Pad, was to stamp in my Black Archival ink and stamp off first.  Which was brilliant, and made it look almost grey!  This was done on the Shimmery White cardstock, which is great for water-coloring, and has sparkle in the card.

I used Tip Top Taupe to color Bella, and mint macaron on collar.  I am not very talented at water-coloring, but learning.  Then for Skittles (her birds name), I used Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Mint Macaron.  Oh, and Tempting Turquoise for birds eye and balloon.  The clouds were made with Soft Sky ink, again around edges.

The card base was cut at 11 x 4 1/4, scored at 5 1/2, using Smoky Slate cardstock.  My mat was cut at 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 using Watermelon Wonder cardstock, and I used Soft Sky to ink the edges and take the hard white line away.  I glued the SW onto the WW then adhered dimensionals on the back for a lift off the cardbase.

I choose the "I'll be your up when you're feeling down." stamp for the sentiment, inked in Tempting Turquoise, and punched out using our new Duet Banner punch.  I am loving this punch!!!!

End result was a card, that I decided to send to one of the ladies in the scope.  But only after she won the "Answer the Question" game, this has become a new game on scoping for me to give away my RAK once a week.  Please let me know what you think of my off the cuff card!

Hugs, Denise (ladybug)
